More information: The San Michele holiday farm is located in upper Maremma in a particularly favourable position from which cities in Tuscany known for Art can easily be reached: Massa Marittima, Siena, Pisa, Florence, Volterra and San Gimignano. Our guests can also discover nearby medieval villages and Etruscan ruins or even ancient abbeys. (San Galgano is about 20 kilometres away.)
The holiday farm is made up of a group of apartments and bedrooms with bath, all of which are in Tuscan style, immersed in a park of oak trees that are centuries old, fields and olive groves with a pool and a small restaurant that offers specialties of Tuscan cuisine every evening. There is even a special menu for children, our favourite guests. The farm is about 1 kilometre from Boccheggiano, a small town nestled on a hill that offers a splendid view of a typical Tuscan landscape that can be considered the entrance to the Mining – Technoligical – Archaeoligical Park of the Metal-Bearing hills of the Grosseto province.
The hilly landscape (a little over 500 metres above sea level) is perfect for pleasant walks, rides on mountain bike or horseback riding in a protected environmental setting: woods filled with oak, quercus cerris and chestnut trees that unwind along path that can be easily followed.
The most beautiful towns along the Tuscan coast such as Follonica, Punta Ala and Castiglione della Pescaia can be easily reached thanks to our vicinity to the sea (37 kilometres).
History and the nature surrounding us and the renowned Tuscan cuisine will make your holiday an unforgettable experience. Many artists have moved to this area and the museums they have set up in the gardens of their homes are open to the public. Paul Fuchs is closest.
Agriturismo San Michele is the ideal holiday for anyone who wishes to get away from everyday routine and to recover the sense of peace and Energy that can only be attained by being in contact with nature.
We have a sunny pool (6x12x1.5 metres) and a small restaurant at which you can savour specialties of the Tuscan cuisine based upon fresh, locally grown products (some of which we grow on our farm) as well as special menus from children, our favourite guests.
Upon request, our guests can also enjoy a simple breakfast in the morning even if they choose to stay in one of our flats.
