More information:

S. Guglielmo is a 13 hectare holiday farm located in the township of Castiglione della Pescaia, perhaps one of the most renowned seaside villages in Maremma Toscana that is only 3 kilometres from the shore at approximately 30 metres above sea level: a splendid place to admire the landscape that also features the “Padule” of the Diaccia Botrona, Grosseto, Argentario and the islands of Giglio and Montecristo.

The tourist staying at our holiday farm begins the day with a breath of fresh air and a genuine breakfast to face a full day at the shore. There are many places to enjoy a good meal featuring fresh fish during the day in one of the many “bagnetti” or take full advantage of the many kilometres of beaches on our coast.

Guests can also visit one of the many towns near Castiglione della Pescaia, from medieval villages to naturalistic areas, cities of art like Florence or Siena as well as the splendid islands of the Tuscan archipelago.

The more laid back tourist can enjoy the tranquility of our farm by taking a sunbath, reading a book in the shade of the gazebo and coming to dinner to enjoy our company and that of other guests while savouring the flavours of our land.

The holiday farm was built upon the ruins of an ancient farmhouse dating back to the end of the 19th century and the Accorsi family has cared for it and the surrounding land with dedication and love. Four country style rooms have been obtained from the renovation o fan old barn. A 19th century  wall credenza as well as chests and a wardrobe from the same time period can still be admired. All four bedrooms come with private bath and shower.

The wall with rings once used  for the animals and the trough for donkeys and horses are in view. It was not that long ago that these animals were the farm’s engines and tractors.

For the pleasure of keeping that ancient flavour alive, the Accorsi family decorated the living room with terracotta ziri from the end of the 19th century. Oil was kept in them and in those days oil was a symbol of wealth and power of peasant families.

You will be welcomed with the same hospitality reserved for passersby in the olden days.

We offer half-board accommodations should our guests choose to taste typical dishes from the Maremma cuisine. You will eat in a spacious dining room seated at a large table with the owners and other guests, making friends in true Maremma spirit. It is at the table that the Accorsi family will be happy to tell you stories about the difficulties faced on this difficult land known as the “bitter” Maremma, show you the jewels of nature that can be easily reached from the farm and let you taste the delicacies they grow with their own hands.

The farm grows grains, fruit and oils that can be purchased directly on the property. Clients can also enjoy wide open spaces designed for their relaxing moments. They can also go bicycle riding to visit the surrounding areas that are renowned all over the world for the unpolluted nature and wild open air that can still fill your lungs.

Pets are welcome and there is also a playground park for children. The farm also features parking and a restaurant.
