Holiday farm and agricultural campsite MULINACCIO and its three flats are located in a strategic position for those who wish to spend their holiday at the sea (Castiglione della Pescaia, Follonica, Parco della Maremma) or immerse themselves in the peaceful countryside of the Maremma area and ecological propensity.

The flats at the holiday farm were obtained from an old building and whenever possible bio sustainable construction material was adopted. We built 3 flats: l’Armigero (the warrior), il Bracconiere (the trespasser) and il Carbonaio (the coal worker); each are 2-room flats and, if necessary,  two of them can be converted into communicating flats.

A portion of the land surrounding the holiday farm is dedicated to agricultural camping, organised  according to regulation with services, complete with pull-in areas: one of which is on the edge of the woods for those who are seeking close contact with nature and another closer to the farm.

Rates (a flat for two people) vary from a minimum of €380.00 per week in Low season to a maximum of €450.00 per week in peak season.

The farm is certified but it is worth mentioning that it is first and foremost cultivated with a biological method out of a sense of mission: organic fertilizer is used as a natural pesticide along with natural predators instead of synthetic chemical fertilizers and insecticides.  

Solid refuse is differentiated as much as possible: liquids are filtred by a septic tank set up as a constructed wetland in which several specific plants (bamboo, reeds, topinambur, willow trees etc) absorb and purify the waters.

Heating of all necessary water takes place with the use of solar panels and the timber we cut from our woods.

The surrounding environment is healthy and the woods are filled with wild animals typical of the Maremma area (hedgehog, deer, roe, boar, porcupine etc) and it is not rare that we see them since they roam freely at night.

The Mulinaccio holiday farm has made an agreement with nearby restaurant “Il Picio Matto” (located only 2 kilometres away) that offers a typical Maremma cuisine with a menu starting at €12.00 including an antipasto, first course and coffee or a second course, side dish and coffee.

For horseback riders, Il Mulinaccio collaborates with certified instructors from the area at convenient prices.
