“La Venarella” holiday farm is located at the feet of Monte Elmo, in the township of Sorano, close to a spring of the same name. The landscape’s diverseness and the signs of the passage of time are the essential characteristics of a truly unique environment in which one can still feel the ancient Etruscan and Roman civilization and culture in the air. Holidays in Maremma at the “Venarella” will be surrounded by a unique and unforgettable landscape. If you are a history and art lover the choice of this location is…obligatory!   

The Holiday Farm offers 2 completely independent flats, that are well furnished and include every comfort. They are approximately 1 kilometre apart.

The Venarella is a flat (approximately 60 square metres) that includes living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, spacious portico, garden and parking space.

The Casetta, completely independent (approximately 70 square metres), comes with living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, spacious portico, spacious enclosed garden with olive grove, barbecue and parking space)

All the Flavour of Biological Agriculture

“La Venarella” Holiday Farm is the perfect location in which to take a vacation in contact with nature. The few agricultural cultivations are grown with respect for nature and the environment. For those who choose “half-board” accommodations, they will be able to taste all of our products: oil, wine, fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, preserves, ricotta, cheese, honey and more. In the spring-summer months, tomatoes, potatoes, zucchini and oil are available for direct sale.   

Educational Farm:

Learn, by experiencing them in first person, all about daily activities and work places on the farm and get to know the animals and their behavior. Immerse yourself in the life of an authentic holiday farm is an enjoyable and relaxing experience as well as an exciting one of learning. Our farm is specialized in the production of honey. Signora Rosilda and her daughter Daniela are at guests’ disposal to demonstrate “the fantastic world of  bees” and the artisan production technique of honey and cheese. Furthermore, we would be happy to familiarize you with our farm animals and cultivation. Visiting our animals (goats, rabbits, hens, pigs, sheep and donkey) are integrated with lectures on their life and behaviour. Exploring the farm is very interesting for children, above all, who learn about animals, feed them, study plants and sow seeds. A tour of our wine cellar dug into the tuff is also available for our guests.  

From Rome: take the Aurelia (S.S.1 Civitavecchia Rosignano) exit and follow directions for  Manciano; after that continue for Pitigliano. As soon as you arrive near Pitigliano, follow directions for Sovana. After approximately 4 kms, you will meet a fork in the road: go towards Sorano. After 2kms, follow indications for Elmo.

 

From Florence: follow directions for Rome, driving along the Cassia. After approximately 50 minutes out of Siena, continue for Sovana; pas through the village of Sorano and continue for Elmo. As soon as you enter Elmo, continue until you see directions for “La Venarella” on your right. We’re waiting to welcome you!!!!!!!!!
