IL PODERE CASTEL DEL PIANO proudly offers splendid accommodations in its flats. The farmhouse is located on a promontory dominating the entire valley, immersed in greenery on the slopes of Monte Amiata and only 2km from Castel del Piano, an ancient medieval village of rare beauty. Its geographic position in the western valley of the Amiata mountain facing Maremma makes it a year-round tourist destination.

In the Spring you can enjoy this uncontaminated Nature’s reawakening by traveling through the various paths on foot or on mountain bike that lead from the farmhouse directly to the most evocative places of Amiata;

In the Summer, you can cool off in our pool that offers a unique panorama, or relax in the shade. In any case you are only a stone’s throw from magnificent woods filled with beech and chestnut trees and still only 45 km from the sea;

In the Autumn, the colours and fragrances will offer you typical products such as DOC guaranteed quality chestnuts and wines and magnificent landscapes;

In the Winter, aside from participating in the numerous traditional events organised by the towns in the Amiata area, you can also ski along the 12 km of trails that include 15 resorts. Cross-country skiers can also enjoy the many trails immersed in the silence of the mountain.

An 19^th century farmhouse completely built in stone that has been carefully and skillfully renovated with particular attention paid to detail and the ancient local traditions, preserves its original atmosphere.    

The Flats:

The “Casa del Fattore” (Farmer’s House). Is the original manor house with the original terracotta floors. The flat is 65 square metres in size and includes a living room with kitchenette, bath and two bedroom. One bedroom has a spacious terrace overlooking the lake.

The “Fienile” (Hayloft). A first-floor flat that is 55 square metre in size, whose entrance is at the top of an outdoor stairway with large terrace overlooking a splendid valley of vineyards and olive trees, includes a spacious living room with fireplace, couch-bed and kitchenette in the living area. The master bedroom and bath with shower is located on the upper level. (Can sleep 6)

 
The “Mandriolo”. This ground-floor flat, 62 square metres in size, consists of a spacious living room with couch-bed, kitchen, master bedroom, double bedroom and a large bath with shower. (Can sleep 6)

The “Ovile” (Sheep-fold) This flat is 30/44 square metres in size and offers a living area with kitchenette, a bedroom and bath with shower with option of an additional master bedroom. (Sleeps 4)  

(There is the option in the Mandriolo and Ovile flats of a communicating master bedroom that can be used for either flat. The two flats can also be united, turning them into one large flat that is 92 square metres in size with 2 bathrooms)

The “Scuderia” (Stable). This flat, 52 square metres in size has its entrance under a large portico and consists of a large living room with splendid vaults out of the original terracotta that includes a kitchenette and fireplace plus 2 couch-beds in the living area. The sleeping area consists of a master bedroom and bath with shower (sleeps 4) 

The “Colombaio”(Dovecote). A flat that is 60 square metres in size excluding the picturesque chestnut wood-beamed loft consists of a living area that includes kitchenette, bath with shower and a double bedroom (sleeps 6)

High and Low season and rates:

Prices vary from a minimum of euros 285,00 per week in Low Season (“Ovile” flats) to a maximum of euros 860,00 per week in Peak Season (“Colombaio” flat)
